“ Best Thai food... The real thing!.. But they only open at night from 6pm to 3am.. A great place to dine at night in the open air back alley.. Ha-ha.. ”

“ Something about the name just makes me smile. I just love the name. I even joked with my lady that she will be my "spicy thai thai" one day, which she didn't get until I explained the pun to her. But enough of my childishness and let's talk more about the food, where it actually matters. One of our mutual friends is a serious foodie based in Singapore. She loves food and knows just about every hot spot you can possibly imagine - and has tried most of them. She contacted us as we were smack down in the middle of Little India and asked that to meet us for dinner here stating that I'll definitely be in love with the pork and chicken that they had to offer. We, of course, were excited to meet her for dinner and a little bit more excited to try something different from what we're accustomed to. Not to mention, you'll be eating out on the streets where bugs actually feast on you as you feast on. (BUG SPRAY FTW!) FOOD: 1. Pork Collar - the dish that she highly recommended came out with a gentle flavor profile. I could taste the natural flavor of the pork as well as the marinade that brought it to life. Definitely recommend. 2. Pandan Chicken - it tasted decent and was also towards a gentle flavor profile. The scent of slightly charred pandan leaves was personally an immaculate experience. I love cuisines that incorporate the use of either pandan or banana leaves into the cooking process. Definitely recommend. 3. String beans - half was under-cooked and tasted like raw string beans, which is a no-no. But for the other half, which was cooked perfectly, it was flavorful and something I'd like to have again. 4. Pad Thai - very different from what I'm accustomed to. It was wet and sloppy and really sweet! 5. Pineapple fried rice - came out as expected, sweet and decently done. 6. Bee hoon - my lady became obsessed with bee hoon after her short stay in Singapore and orders it whenever it is on the menu. It was just okay but seeing her happy is far more important to me than anything else. She obviously loved it, lol. (Sorry Debbie T., I didn't even bother ordering seafood this time around since I was here for the pork. PORKPORKPORK was all I cared about at that moment!) Yelp 100: 26/100 ”
“ This place is the BEST place ever!!!! Okay, let's get some facts out of the way, 1. You're going to have to eat in a dirty alley. 2. You're going to have to bring cash. 3. You're probably going to holler at your server once or twice, or multiple times. BUT, This place has the best BBQ Salted Sea Bass in Singapore. Not to mention, everything in the menu is CHEAP! Try their pandan chicken! It's wrapped in padan leaves and oh-so fragrant! Tender and juicy each time I order it. When I dine here with the Manfriend, here are the things I typically order, 1. Pandan Chicken 2. Green Curry 3. Pad Thai 4. Tom Yum Soup 5. Pineapple Fried Rice 6. BBQ Salted Sea Bass 7. Shrimp Paste Kang Kong I think that's all? The total bill is usually around $60 so I feel like I'm missing one or two dishes..HMMMMMM..... Hey, we're pigs. And, we're NOT ashamed! Okay..maybe a little bit? Nah...! ”
